Candy Wedding Favors
Almost all people love candy. Only a few people might not enjoy it. This is because most people like sweet treats and hence the brides choose wearing candy wedding favors. No matter what the bride's budget, she can give some type of candy wedding favors so that her guests will have a memento of her special day.
For warm weather weddings, the best candy wedding favors are hard candy because let's face it, chocolate melts. Even if the wedding is held indoors, getting the chocolate candy from the confection store to the reception might be a problem. No one wants melted chocolate so the spring and summer brides should consider giving some special hard candies to their guests. A few gummy bears and similar candies can round out the array of candies.
Most brides are simply too busy to package their own candy wedding favors. Hauling them around is another problem. One rather new idea is to provide a candy buffet. Yes, what could be better than a candy buffet. The bride can buy her sweet treats and put them into a variety of pretty bowls with a scoop in each bowl. If the hard candy is wrapper, a scoop is not needed.
At the beginning of the candy buffet, the bride would place small cellophane bags for her guests to fill with candy. Even the men will enjoy getting involved in this candy grab. At the end of the sweet treat table, the bride can put personalized gold stickers for the guests to attach and close their candy bag. These stickers can be purchased at almost any store that sells wedding invitations. Another idea is to create your own stickers by creating a template and printing them on your own printer. Most any computer store will have computer printable stickers for you to use.
Because more and more people have problems with sugar, the smart bride should include some sugar free items. She should be sure to label the sugar free items so that people will know that these treats are just for them. Since it seems everyone in the world is on a sugar free diet, these treats may become the most popular part of the candy wedding favors.
If the bride has the time and doesn't want to have a candy buffet, she and some of her friends can fill the cellophane bags before the wedding and have them ready for the guests as they leave. Another option is to place them by everyone's plate. The candy bags always look lovely on a table.
For the bride who can't live without he chocolate, there are numerous options. One really fun idea is to get specially made candies from a local confectionary store. These can be pricey and should certainly come already enclosed in a container. Remember most chocolate candy melts in your hands. Nothing could be worse than a horde of kids with chocolate fingers near a bride.
Candy wedding favors are a very nice way to let your guests know that you appreciate their sharing in your special day. Whatever kind of candy is used, the guests will love you.
