The fabric colors can be the wedding colors or something that coordinates. The reason for using two colors is that one color can be for men and one for women. That way the bride can find a potpourri appropriate for men and one for women. These lovely sachets can be used to add a lovely smell to any room in the house. They are practical as well as lovely. If the bride puts them on her tables, they make added decorations.

If the bride or some family members enjoy cooking, nothing is better than homemade cookies or candy. Cookies freeze quite well and can be made months before the wedding. The bride can make several different kinds of cookies. Then a few days before the wedding, she can have a fill the gift basket with cookies party. Just make sure that the helpers don’t eat all of the cookies. Secure the cookie bags with a pretty ribbon and you have a lot of happy guests with homemade cookies to enjoy. If the bride enjoys making candy, she can do the same thing with candy as she could do with cookies except candy doesn’t usually freeze well. Because this is a time consuming process, the bride could buy hard candy in bulk and fill the gift bags right before the wedding. A little help here is also important.

If the bride is having a small country wedding, she might, with lots of help, make homemade jelly or jam. The jam can be put in cute small glass jars. A ribbon and a computer generated sticker complete the home wedding favor. The ribbon can match the wedding colors and be placed on the table. These wedding favors will add to the country décor on the table. The jam sticker could have a picture of the bride and groom and the date of the wedding. These computer generated stickers really add that personal touch. Be as creative as you like. By the way there are many very simple jam recipes on the Internet.

Homemade wedding favors will be a hit at any wedding. Guests will be touched by the time and love that went into the wedding favors. They will also add that extra special touch that makes the perfect wedding.
